The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the First Round of Tentative Allocation (FRTA) for SSC CHSL 2025 on August 17, 2026. According to the official notice, 3,515 candidates have been provisionally recommended for Identification Verification against 3,522 vacancies. 

The latest update is important for candidates who appeared for the SSC CHSL 2025 examination and submitted their post and department preferences.

SSC CHSL 2025 First Round Allocation

SSC collected the option-cum-preference of eligible candidates from June 19 to June 25, 2026. A total of 13,395 candidates submitted their preferences and were considered for the allocation process 

The First Round of Tentative Allocation has been prepared on the basis of merit-cum-preference, along with the applicable Tier-II performance and qualifying requirements.

SSC CHSL 2025 Sliding Process Dates

SSC has introduced a sliding mechanism to help maximize the filling of available vacancies and reduce vacancies that may remain unfilled because of non-joining.
Candidates who are required to participate in this process have to select their venue, date and slot between August 20 and August 22, 2026 through the designated SSC login module.
The sliding process will be conducted from September 1 to September 3, 2026 at the specified regional office cities. Candidates are required to attend physically. 

What Should SSC CHSL Candidates Do Now?

Candidates who have been provisionally recommended should carefully read the instructions given by SSC and check their login details.
The First Round of Tentative Allocation should not be considered the final appointment order. Candidates must complete the required Identification Verification and follow the further instructions issued by the Commission.
SSC has also stated that the final answer keys and detailed marks of selected and non-selected candidates will be uploaded separately later.
